In February 2018, Pastora Evelyn was first introduced to Pastora Marilyn Narvaez by a Christian friend in Las Vegas. This friend expressed her intention to host a Bible study at her home.
Upon returning to the Philippines, they went to General Mariano Alvarez and offered to pray for the mother of Sis. Jinky who was suffering from breast cancer. Many family members came and accepted the Lord after the prayer.
An outreach ministry was formed as the new believers gathered in bible studies. With the help of Pastor Romulo Hintay, head of ILAW (CAOCMI’s mission arm), the outreach and fellowship continued.
In 2019, the outreach in GMA was formally endorsed as a daughter church with Pastora Mayette Sadondong as the local pastor. She was assisted in the ministry administration by Sis. Jinky, Sis. Exie, Pastor JR, and Sis. Jeryll Andes.
Despite the distance, limited resources, and challenges in ministry, the gospel continued to be preached and God’s presence is experienced in GMA as His servants trust and faithfully serve in the church. The church that now gathers in a garage every Sunday dreams of gathering at a bigger venue with growing number of believers. Until that time, they plant seeds of faith in the hearts of people knowing that the Lord we serve is faithful.
